OP here: Thanks for these opinions, everyone! I probably should have included more detail. Yes, I've gotten to know the area pretty well, not going in blind! And my office will be right downtown on Fayetteville - it's a transfer from another location so there's no guesswork there. When I look at bus routes I see some flexibility going into downtown - and Boylan Heights and Oakwood would be walkable/bikable to work, which I love. The transit plans for Wake County show a lot more promise in the next few years as well. I admit to having a soft spot for Cameron Park though, so I'm feeling all these CP votes! Five Points is my least favorite on the list but I appreciate the inventory of stuff for sale there and all the young families, which my kids would love too. Again, appreciate all the feedback!
