This was back when Debby Massey Driver was teaching, but the school has expanded a great deal and I really loved it at your daughter's age.

When I was older and living in Raleigh, I took dance classes at a place that I think merged with another studio and I cannot recall which one, so I wouldn't want to recommend.

I have a friend whose daughter goes to Massey and LOVER it! She's been dancing since around age 4.

Not even close. Unless you're equating "dance audition" (as an adult seeking a job with a company) with "dance competition," but I don't think that's what the OP is referring to.

My daughters went to https://nctheatre.com/conservatory and had classes near Triangle Town Center. Read up. Plenty of opportunity provided for dance performances at NCT.
