Thats very true but we all know city limit population nunbers are basically worthless.
Of course they are, just look at the city of Boston with 673,184 people, which is 168,867 less than the population of the city of Charlotte, yet the Boston metroplex has 4.8 million people (2x the size) as compared to the 2.4 million people in the Charlotte metroplex!

Exactly. Cant stand it when city population numbers are used. In that same logic Raleigh and Atlanta are the same size!! Lol what a joke

Amazon HQ2 in Arlington or anywhere in the DC metro area scares me - unless all of the employees they hire are already locals. They do not need 50K more people and their families added to the population. I'm still rooting for Philly.
I seriously doubt that they told enough people inside Amazon to bump traffic to a news site, but it has stayed secret otherwise. More likely people inside Amazon are visiting many sites for the various places in contention and others would see similar increases if they looked and/or published a story about it.
Not saying that area isn’t a strong contender though.

I agree, but that could be said for many places. Also, that 50k number (if it ever comes to fruition) will take quite some time.
I absolutely don't want Amazon in the Triangle. I think it would degrade the quality of life for many more people than it would help. Wow, that must have been my yearly SaturnFan tribute post.

More or less agreed.
There are better corporations out there to court. Maybe not as big, but better ethical behavior.
