Look, Amazon is not going to choose Raleigh for HQ2.... it's going to be Nova or Boston. NC really screwed up with that stupid bathroom bill, in addition, the public schools in Wake County while decent are not at the level of Nova or MD.

The 'Red State' politics in NC will absolutely keep a company based in one of the most Liberal cities out of here. Which is a shame, but that's the reality. If NC GOP politicians would just stop attacking social issues and focus on business opportunity we might have had a chance.

Lester Holt is coming here, we must be 1 or 2 on the list.

You are ignoring that NC has the 8th lowest debt ratio per capita in the Union. Meanwhile Boston has the highest debt ratio in the Union. That is not sustainable long term. Yes, that matters and would not happen in a "spend-it-all-and-then-some environment". Heck, Raleigh is rated high in nearly every poll and survey available targeting business. ...and you want to prattle on about a bathroom bill? ....whatever. Apparently it does not matter to most businesses or private citizens that are moving here in droves judging by the rate we are growing.

I agree and hope you’re right. Don’t want Amazon to come here but all my friends who are IT/Tech workers want it most likely due to the increased opportunities for jobs.

NC is not “liberal enough” for Amazon. So stupid how these republicans in the state keep pushing ridiculous social interventions when they advertise increased economic growth.

After Washington put Facebook thru the wringer and came out looking like they know nothing about our technology world today, I think Amazon might be thinking twice about the DC Area for their HQs.

It was both comical and sad to see the complete lack of understanding in their questioning.

Welcome to big government. Take a number and wait in line behind the unstaffed window.
