Hope Amazon’s bluff is called. Bezos wants these new HQs close to his mansions and he isn’t going to move it Raleigh or any place other than DC metro and NY city.

From what I understand, she was with him from the beginning and helped build Amazon. Back then, then was no need for a pre-nup.

Yup.
26 years of marriage.
25 year old company.

"In 1992, Bezos was working for D. E. Shaw in Manhattan, New York City, when he met novelist MacKenzie Tuttle, who was a research associate at the firm; the couple married a year later.[27][187] In 1994, they moved across the country to Seattle, Washington, where Bezos founded Amazon.[188] He and his wife are the parents of four children: three sons, and one daughter adopted from China.[64][189]"

And, I wonder if the soon to be Ex laid claim to the NY Mansion, changing the game plan.

Yes but I didn't mention a pre-nup, I said "if a guy is smart enough to pull off a company like Amazon, he's smart enough to get the separation agreement terms carved in stone the moment things go south, regardless of who makes the first dash for the door".

I suppose a pre-nup is a type of separation agreement, but not the most common type.

Maybe we are doing this wrong. Raleigh should be sending the welcome wagon to her door and maybe she can use her 8% to get the co-HQ2 here. We can sell her on our quality of life, getting more bang for her buck, and also we are the last place Bezos would choose and therefore are perfect for a post-split revenge.

Not really.
There would have to be a rail to leave.

There never was a rail since it was revived.
