Green Hope and Panther Creek. SAT scores and other test scores are the highest.

I'd have to second Green Hope and Panther Creek, for the same reasons.

My children attend Green Hope. That is why we picked Green Hope based on the SAT scores. Panther Creek is new but I expect it to do as well as GH. Can't go wrong with either. Just remember no school assignment is set in stone here.

I guess my exercise is slightly pointless then - seeing as my children are in elementary school!!! I have a 2nd grader and a 5th grader - where should we aim for in terms of elementary/middle schools then? I like what I see at Davis Dr...

My son attend Davis Drive Middle and my daughter did last year before going to Green Hope. I am extremely happy. I have heard great things about Davis Drive Elementary. I haven't known a parent not to be happy. Green Hope Elementary is also very good. Highcroft is also very good. My son next year will go to Weatherstone for K. Green Hope is our base though. I personally think you can't go wrong with any of the schools that feed to Green Hope or Panther Creek. Good luck.

Default Jbmom

Thanks for the questions. I too have a 2nd grader & a 5th grader, so it seems as though we are in the same situation. All of the research has led me to Davis Drive elementary (mainly b/c it is still traditional), b/c pretty much of the elementary schools in the area sound pretty good.

My one worry is though, that by the time we move down there, late June, that when we register, we could not be able to get into the school are home would be districted for. Has anyone else seen that? I am not sure how that works in NC, but here in PA, if the classes have filled, they send you to a sister school for the year???

Thanks!

Wow, ok so I am not that neurotic then. I was asking the schools for SAT scores and where do their kids go to for high scool and college when they graduate and they were looking at me as if I was nuts. But good to know that I am a "normal" parent

In my mind, you're completely "normal!" Why wouldn't you want to know which high school your children will ultimately end up in..... We're still in NJ, trying to get down there. We have great jobs here, no jobs there and it's a mess!!! We're so frightened to just pick up and move without jobs to go to, but the way things are here in NJ, we don't feel we've got much choice.... see, now you feel normal!!!
