Looking at Wake County GIS, and Historic Aerials, it was built sometime between 1972 and 1981.

Looked at it on Streetview. The side paneling and trapezoid shaped entrance gives its age away.

I noticed it when GF and I went to dinner on Monday. Also noticed the S-Mart had closed down too. I suspect that over the next few years, that plaza will evolve as well. If I had to guess, I'd think it will become more like Chatham Square. More eateries, and over time they'll gravitate toward ethnic (which I'm in favor of). Either that, or it will go the complete opposite way, get a facelift and start getting some higher rent scenarios.

In the first scenario, Ollies stays, and Performance eventually moves. In the latter, Performance stays, gets a facelift, and Ollies will be forced to another place.

Just my crystal ball.

(And that Pizza place going in where Tom Yum was is taking forever!)

Burger King has some odd locations around here. Like the one in RTP on south Miami/Hwy54, it's next to a Staples, and it's not easy to get in there too.

Ah, interesting...I do see the revised site plan. Missed the approval on that. Thanks!

Not to curse anyone, but my rule of thumb is that the longer it takes a restaurant to open, the less chance it has to succeed. I don't think much change at that plaza until CTC is redeveloped and that will be some years.

We got some grand opening coupons for them like a month ago. They expire at the end of November, and I'm not sure it's even going to be open by then at this rate.

They were originally targeting a March opening, and the official store page still says summer.
