Does anyone still play pinochle? I like poker, but would like a change at times. I have played three or four-handed games and have not played in years but would love to start up again...in N. Raleigh.

There are several MeetUp groups that focus on cards and board games.

I went directly to MeetUp, and couldn't get a hit on "pinochle."
But, there are so many active games groups, the OP may be able to create a Meetup and get the ball rolling.

Hadn't seen pinochle mentioned in a very long time. My dad used to play at his local Elks club (different state) on the day they didnt play poker.

I have not played it in a long time also, and would love to brush up and play. I really enjoyed it. I have found no Meet-ups that don't offer it. Whoever wants to start a group, I am open.

Also, does anyone have experience with Direct TV? I would welcome knowing if you are satisfied, and some questions.

Damn, Pinochle, that was some old-school business thirty years ago when I was in college. I like to play Euchre and Canasta myself.

Off topic and see my other post. But we are extremely happy with DirectTV. The software is Almost as good as TIVO and pricing is reasonable, We've had great connectivity (few outagesĺ and adequate customer service. WAY WAY WAY better hardware and software than TWC,

Default Direct TV

Thank you for your input. I am very unsatisfied with TWC. Is the price increase after the 1 year doable?
I live in North Raleigh.

Still in the market for Pinochle. It is not old-school business. It is FUN.
