As you may know, we live in a diverse area near Triangle Town Center which has mainly families with moderate income.

When we went to vote for Mr. Francis in the run off, our polling place was Fox Road Elementary School.

On the way home, we saw a large new apartment complex being built and looked at their website to see what it would be like.

Oh my gosh! The plans were for valets to walk your dogs and enormous amounts of smart home technology.

The rents were ridiculous given the size of the units and the area which has no sidewalks, streetlights, or walkable businesses.

That's what is happening here now. seems like outside developers will pump hipster trash anywhere they can find a piece of empty land.

Probably, the hipsters will rent by web not even knowing the area of their new home.

Makes me sick to see this stupid growth. Really wish Mr. Francis had won the mayoral run off.

FYI, I am Caucasian.

Could you please tell us what your definition of a "hipster" is?

Talk of hipsters reminds me of this gem.

Starts at 1:13 mark. (NSFW language)

Anything that isn't in CapitalBlvd's anti-everything tired narrative. His post also reads like one of those weird forwards / facebook posts from someones grandma.

"Hi Phyllis. It was nice to see you at church this past Sunday. John is with the Lord now. Your pictures are beautiful. I have terminal brain cancer. Love, Edna."

I'll see your 100 hipsters and raise you 10 overpaid yuppies and a burnt-out hippie in a VW Microbus.

You must be near that 5401 north development too then right? I hear those are going for 300-400 and up which is not what I’d pay for that part of town. But someone will. Think of it like this instead - it’s raising our property values so for any home owner in North Raleigh it’s a good thing!

What's the name of the complex? Sounds nice. My lease is up in June and a new smart-tech home would be kewl

Yeah. Are you sure you aren't just looking for a dawg-walkin' Valet?
