I am a single AA woman in my mid forties contemplating a move. I have a bachelor's and I work in the field of health care account management. I also do not have any children. I am not concerned with living and working in a community based on race. I just want to live in a community where I can get along with the people.
I have visited Raleigh and I liked it but I am concerned about job prospects. I hope to visit Nashville shortly. It is tough to figure out where to begin. I have come to discover nice areas are expensive regardless of where you go.
I want to live in the best neighborhood I can afford. Looking for a job remotely is a daunting task. I am not sure how to make it work. I thought about quitting my job after my lease ends in August and focus on securing temporary housing and employment. I will not have any debt by then so the temp work will just pay for food, housing and transportation. I really do not want to tap into savings. I think employers are more receptive to prospective employees with a local address.
I am at a crucial place in my life. I really need to make good choices that will lead towards a better quality of life.
I would appreciate any insight on these two places. I am open to other suggestions as well.

I don't understand your field. Do you work for an insurer? Or a company that sells things to health care providers? Would a job at Blue Cross/Blue Shield be a place to look?
Off hand, it sounds like Raleigh would be a good place to start a job search.
There's lots of hospitals and insurance companies in the area. My DW has worked for a lot of them over the last 20 years in what might be a similar role (or might not). We ended up settling near the Cary/Morrisville border and having reasonable commute to about any of them (and as it would turn out, she's ended up working remotely out of our home for a big chunk of the last 10 years). We love the quality of life here, but different folks like different things, so ymmv there.

I have many professional ties to the Healthcare institutions in the Triangle, and while it is a great area for some types of employment in healthcare, I assume you are looking at Nashville because for "Healthcare/Hospital/System Level Management" Nashville is the "center of the universe", right?
The triangle is great for healthcare jobs. You’ve got duke, unc and wakemed as the major hospital and healthcare systems. Blue cross for insurers, allscripts if you want to move to a vendor side. And countless others.

I am not sure what you mean? I did read that Nashville was big in health care but it hard to tell because I usually go in Indeed.com. It does not appear many of the jobs are advertised on Indeed.com.
I find it encouraging that people are posting that there are jobs prospects for me. I think the housing options are more affordable in Raleigh but I still have a lot of research to do.

I have worked remotely in the past. I prefer to do a little of both because I want human interaction. Maybe not. I currently work with some heathens.

Sounds good!
