Pricing is obscene but hey, it's the fastest option available for those not lucky enough to be blessed with Google Fiber or AT&T Gigapower. These changes are supposedly going to start taking effect after midnight.
Too little too late for me. I signed up for Google Fiber last week, and dropped TV from my Spectrum account today. Just hanging onto Spectrum internet/phone for a couple months until Google can do the install.
Took almost half an hour to get them to drop my TV because the agent “couldn’t find the new codes” to make it happen.
I'm no tech savvy expert but I know enough to get along. Curious as to when/why someone would need those speeds? I know people who will want them but do they actually need them? I'm not suggesting there's anything wrong with those who want them. I'm just curious, really.

Married with 3 kids here. I currently have 100 mbps and its not enough. We stream TV and have two firesticks. Add to that a playstation, 2 tablets, 2 computers, and 2 cell phones and our speeds can easily get bogged down. I'm going to up to 300 or more whenever its available.

An HD stream on Roku takes about 3Mbps just for reference. If you're constantly getting bogged down then it's likely some other issue, likely with your wifi.
100Mb is way more than enough for the average household.
I'm on a 50mb speed with TWC/spectrum, with about 11 devices on the network, maybe 5 are active at the same time. I have no problems streaming content, uploading/downloading large files, or quality issues with my VOIP system.
I refuse to pay more than I have to, as it's already too expensive IMHO and the good news is I can do just fine at 50mbps.
