Opening of the state's first Wahlburgers will be in downtown Raleigh on Fayetteville St. I've eaten at the one in Boston and it was pretty good. I think that the celebrity factor is a big part of their success.

I’m not a fan at all. It’s good but not great - I’d rather eat at Char Grill, Chucks or Bad Daddy’s

Blecchhh. Tried it once at Broadway on the Beach in MB. What a crap experience on every level. And no, it was not because it was busy. It was just unpleasant.
Way too many other places to get a decent burger-
Abbey Road
Tribeca Tavern
Char-Grill
Red Robin, even.

Hope this place fails miserably and DTR doesn't turn into a bland, corporate, Charlotte-esque downtown

it's inevitable - rent prices will go up in the downtown area due to its popularity and in turn small local businesses can't afford to do business there anymore and only national chains will be able to fill the void.

Abbey Road makes a pretty good burger! Our favorite over on this side of Cary.

I’m surprised this is opening in DTR.

North Raleigh, North Hills, or Cary would be more logical for a chain.

Not to get anyones hopes up but this isn't really new news. It was announced as far back as September of 2016 and was supposed to open this past January. So I'll believe it when I see it as they've dragged it out for over a year at this point.
