Sun shades are a necessity in NC! UV rays even on a cloudy day can mess up the dash. Making the car darker is good also to prevent theft (but you should have some window tint on the other windows for this to work).
When it's July/August and over 95 degrees, your A/C won't work as hard to get going.
Those reflective ones work well, but if you want a nicer one without that mirror finish, type in custom sun shades for better ones. https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/sunscreens
Ever since I lived in Texas I've just gotten into the habit of putting my sun shade up even if it's cloudy or rainy. Obviously it keeps the car cooler but I also don't like people looking into my car. Window tint plus sun shade equals lots of privacy.
The something going on was the person putting it up. She hadn't even turned the car off. I got the front view for a visual. I would have interviewed her but she still had her foot on the brake. Do you feel the dashboard is better protected on an overcast day?
Interviewed her?? I think this is one of the more silly posts I have seen on here!
