What do you guys think of the vehicle sun shades on a cloudy day? Does it help keep the interior of the vehicle cool? It was 55 when I saw the person putting it up.

Maybe there was something else going on inside the car...

The something going on was the person putting it up. She hadn't even turned the car off. I got the front view for a visual. I would have interviewed her but she still had her foot on the brake. Do you feel the dashboard is better protected on an overcast day?

I never thought much of those folding shades. I like opening the windows an inch or two. I sometimes cover the dash and steering wheel with light colored towels to keep the sun off. I guess to person uses the shade year round regardless of the temp.

Do you think it keeps the bugs off the windshield while the person is inside shopping?

'What do you guys think of the vehicle sun shades on a cloudy day?'
i do that. it limits inside visibility from the outside, and it also makes
my car easier to find, since it's the only one with one.

They also keep UV light off the dash. The sun will dry out the interior, fade color and maybe even crack the dash after years of exposure. Keeps car value higher.
