The Mordecai neighborhood: how do the majority of folks in RTP pronounce this name? I just want to fit in, and don't want to sound weird. Southern => More-de-kee, Northern => More-da-kai? I thought maybe that was the case, but I've heard natives say it either way, so it's kind of confusing.

I've never heard "more-de-kee"....but hey who knows.

Perhaps more relevant; RTP is the park only. The region is referred to as The Triangle. Not RTP. Nobody lives in RTP; they work there

let me solve it for you, and everyone - because I made the mistake.

Short story, I told someone relatively new to the area that those who lived down there used both; I happened to do this in the presence of someone whose name was Mordecai. She quickly explained, since that was her family's land/house/place, that it was Mor-duh-KEE.
