Soon to be Frenchie mom here (yay!) looking for a local veterinarian for my new pup. I'm not able to find any local breeder networks/resources, so researching this on my own has been difficult. He comes home in 5 weeks, so I'd like to have a vet selected before then.

If you own a Bulldog, Boxer, Pug, Boston Terrier, Pekingese, Shih Tzu (or similar smoosh-faced pup) and live in Raleigh or Cary, can you share your vet? Do you have a specific doctor you recommend?

I feel like I have to be selective because my family had several Boxers over the span of 15+ years and I’m familiar with the unique health challenges that brachycephalic dog breeds face, especially when it comes to anesthesia.

My future pup and I thank you for your help!

I'm a cat owner, and it might not be useful day to day, but NC State has a Vet school that many people recommend. They helped me with one of my cats. You might try calling them to see if they can recommend a vet that's closer to you that specializes in those types of dogs.
