What a terrible thread. Speeder complains about speeding and celebrates speeders ticketed for speeding. Bravo pal.

Hey Rory. Do you have a setting that beeps you when there's a speeding thread?

Screw that. I would prefer they drive on the hwy in undercover cars and pull people over who they see messing around on their phone. I don't care if someone is going 80 or 90 in a 70, it's a highway.

Agree 100%. The Apex officer who's vehicle was struck during this "sting operation" wasn't struck by a speeder as the cars had already slowed down. The woman driving was distracted. By what I can't say but obviously distracted. If she had been paying attention she wouldn't have plowed into the back of another car. That's why I don't like the terminology of "texting and driving". I don't think most staring at their phone are texting. I think they're simply playing on Fakebook or reading about some sports garbage. I think the law needs to be reworded so if an officer sees a driver staring at their phone they can be cited with distracted driving and would share the same penalty as a DWI.

+1 on all but the last part as I wouldn't mind a bit of reigning in a few of the speed demons I seem see so often, though less so the 80s in the 70s as the 60s in the 45s which I think are more dangerous.

A thread with some interesting interpersonal dynamics as well as useful content.

And thanks for that photo builder24car, something unsurprising elsewhere but for me eye-opening for here.

My fan club! Nice to have a following. Sorry if I’ve disappointed you with my tardiness, so many top speed runs to do, so little time!

Saw it. Definitely multiple municipalities involved. It was like a rainbow of colors from nearby towns. At least 7-9 in a row all lined up and another few had people pulled over up ahead.

No radar being used in the lineup as far as I could tell.

[quote=HouseBuilder328;51538514] I see a line of 7 state trooper police cars on the shoulder and my Valentine V1 radar detector is going off -they are shooting Ka band. I was going 77 and luckily nobody moved for me.

So many people get away with whatever they want to do during driving in this area. [quote]

And people use devices like the one YOU were using to do so.

This post is so full of contradictions I don't know where to start.

You do realize that it was nothing but luck that stopped you from getting pulled over, right? I bet your post would read a little differently (or wouldn't exist at all) if you had received a ticket.
