We are seriously considering moving to either Johnston County or Wake County and need to know the latest scoop on Year-Round Schools in Wake.

1) Do you think that the "good" teachers will leave Wake County and move to another school district that offer a traditional school claendar?

2) What other county OTHER than Wake has a good school district?

3) How do the people in Wake county feel about their county turning into Year-Round School?

BTW...We tried YR Sschool in FL and it flopped, only lasted for 1 year.

ANY help on this would be sooo appreciated being that i think we are going to accept an offer on our house and HAVE to decide where to live!!!!!!!!!

Chapel Hll schoools are the only ones in the area without major problems. A few years ago they wanted to dissolve the city school district and form an Orange County School system, but with the steep protest, taht didn't happen. Other than that, you are either going to get good schools with horrible redistricting and overcrowding in Wake County, or poor schools with stable student populations in the more rural counties.
