Thank God. The streak is over. Great team effort and awesome to get the shutout in the process.

As an Islanders fan, I'm so excited about our unexpected stellar season so far that I haven't paid as much attention to the Canes as usual. Wow, Y'all are really playing great! I really hope the Canes make the playoffs at the expense of the Pens or Caps. Great job!

Great victory in snowy Ottawa last night to conclude a successful road trip. Back to Raleigh we go!

4-1 on the road trip. Pretty good stuff!!!

Edmonton, Dallas and NY Rangers all come to Raleigh for the next three games. Hopefully, they keep the momentum going and get to that 8th playoff spot.

Can't realistically trade Ferland now. Not the way he's been playing.

How about a defenseman?
Would you trade one, and who?

Now if we can get Columbus, Pitt, Cap's and Buffalo to start loosing streaks that would be great. All we gotta do is win two for every one they win.

Tough question, that is. I would say Faulk is the one I would trade, but would likely gather the least return.

I'd like to keep Hamilton, Pesce and Slavin, so I would be open to a trade involving either Faulk, van Riemsdyk, or de Haan. If more is needed for a better return, I'd toss in a draft pick (not first round).

I would keep de Haan, and the same: Hamilton, Pesce and Slavin.

In seasons past, I would have offered up Faulk easily. But he's been more effective this year on D, even if his scoring is down from the 2014-2017 seasons.
