This guy has been doing good 'cue for a while via catering... and now he's about break ground in Knightdale, which is a really good look for that town. Needed a more contemporary, homegrown eatery.

This should be gooooooooood.... Local 'cue eateries, look out!

http://www.prime-bbq.com/story/

“Christopher believes he has finally achieved what he considers “barbecue excellence” with his own signature style that fuses together elements of Texas, North Carolina and Kansas City flavors.”

Respectfully, I'm not sure there's a long line of people waiting for better BBQ 'round here. I like keeping the regional styles in their respective regions, it makes it that much more special to visit places like Texas or Kansas/Missouri.

And we have awesome BBQ options already aplenty around the area, I barely get to those with enough frequency.

I look forward to it although that will be a long drive for me. He's a big name in the BBQ world. He's featured prominently in a BBQ documentary on Netflix-- can't remember the name. I like guys who are confident enough to experiment and blaze their own trails.
