Snakes follow their food source. You are not likely to completely do away with them. The plus is that you will see only a very small percentage of the ones nearby.

What kind of snake was it? King snakes will eat other snakes. Birds of prey will eat the ones small enough.

garden center at lowes has sulphur and /or lime.
Being pregnant and all just please try not to inhale the dust when putting it down ( have someone else do it for you ) but it does help.
However, when it rains...you have to replenish it. Seems the stuff irritates their skin.

Good one! Sadly at that time we were arriving home and we doesn't have nothing. My husband was willing to kill it, but he has nothing on hand.

Thank you for the suggestion, I'll tell my husband so we can go and look for it. And he can do it. 😉

Please don't kill a snake for no reason. They eat rodents and pose no threat to you. A black snake is non venomous and will take off when they see humans. Just leave it be, or move it with a stick to somewhere else.

Might be a good point for someone not scare of snakes. I don't even like to look at them on pictures. So a black one it's not a bad one? Thank you so much for teaching me. 😉
