Apex is safe like Cary is safe. There has been a ton of home breakins in the Walden Creek area as of late.

Safe for the most part when it comes to violent crime, but not without its property crime that could turn into violent crime in the wrong situation. As seen this week, many if not most if these people are armed.

IDK, this isn't how stolen vehicle/chop shop rings usually operate. Honestly the whole thing is really odd.

When I handled stolen auto claims up north, we had tons that were stolen in Newark....and people used to call me up and say they saw their stolen car as they were walking down the street. It was kind of hilarious, actually.

Uh, there was an armed robbery involved. Maybe the police should be looking? I wonder if they have plate reader technology in Apex

Apex is still a nice safe town. Nearly anyone living in Apex will agree with that.
The peak of good living!

I'm not saying a citizen should attempt to stop and arrest the criminal, but it doesn't hurt to give out a plate number so citizens could call in if they see it.

To answer the second question, yes they do.

I agree.

Personally, something is off about the whole story to me for some reason.

Maybe it's me, but I honestly think they attempt to get as little media attention for stories like this as possible. Same goes for Cary.

As I mentioned my niece works in Target, arrived there just a couple of hours later for her shift, and heard nothing about it. Wouldn't this warrant a fairly large police response? And a 911 call like this would go out over the scanner, and there are scanner hobbyists out there. I've seen 4-5 cop cars in my neighborhood after a car burglary, armed robbery is much more serious...but no one noticed the police response? I mean she heard not one word about it. I'm just thinking back to when I was a kid working at a local business, hell we'd get some celebrities in sometimes and the phones would start ringing and that was when every house had one landline! It's just weird to me. The police don't control the media response, but they do control their twitter (silent in the immediate aftermath) and they do control their response which should have been very noticeable.
