It's usually only one day of the year anyway..the 4th of July. People should give a little slack once a year anyway. No harm as far as I'm concerned unless the fireworks are ending up in an area that poses a fire threat chance or injuring someone...OR during the middle of the night

Not all fireworks are illegal in NC. Ground fireworks that don't explode are legal (fountains, sparklers, etc.) You need to find a friend with a home to shoot them off. Cant go to a park to do it. Or go to SC to get the good stuff and use caution when shooting it off in NC. When you drive around near the 4th of July around here you see it going off all around so people do it. Might as well just make it legal here and make some money from it.

We have neighbors who do it so while not legal it’s definitely tolerated by most as long as it’s at reasonable hours and time. I think several do set them off at the landfill park off of Durant road on July 4th because I can see them from my house and they seem to be coming from that direction.

You can launch 'em off, but just be aware the local fire marshall's and police will be out in full force. With that being said, many small groups without our neighborhood launch them off every year.

My dog doesn't care for them either. Tell him to wear earplugs
