We are looking for a Russian language tutor for our teenage daughter. We prefer a female tutor with prior tutoring experience in the Raleigh/Cary/Garner area. Native Russian speakers are a plus. Thanks in advance for your recommendation.
OP - contact the Foreign Languages Dept (Slavic languages) at UNC, NC State and Duke and ask to speak to one of their faculty members; they'll probably be able to put you in touch with someone qualified. I took 4 years of Russian in college, it was a bear, esp. with all the cases for grammar... Good memories, though.
Also there are many tutors who offer services by Skype. Those would be native speakers and the rate would be definitely cheaper than locally. Don’t have any specific recommendations but I’m sure Google can find something on this.
There are also local Russian speaking groups on meetup, look it up. If not tutoring it would be good for speaking practice IMHO.
Thanks to all! I found some potential tutors via Wyzant. If they don't work out will explore some of the options that you mentioned. We prefer in-person tutoring.
my inappropriate comments shall remained sealed between our Russian tutor and my family.
