Has anyone heard a peep from the Ed Mitchell camp lately? They abandoned the restaurant plans in favor of a food truck, but even that seems to have disappeared.
There is a post earlier in this thread saying exactly what you just posted.

That's what happens when you're a middle-aged father of 4 kids under the age of 10.

My brain is mush.

Given his business history, I'm not surprised.

I didn't realize he isn't doing his food truck anymore, but according to Yelp, it has closed. I had heard he was selling 'que online.

Too bad he's not coming to Brier Creek. How unfortunate he couldn't find a business partner who could make it happen.

Dickie's BBQ anyone?

LOL

Actually, I'm guessing that Ed is the business partner who can't make it happen. Being a good/great chef doesn't guarantee that one is a good business owner. Unfortunately, Ed's history indicates that he's not necessarily a good risk for an investor.

All I want is a good sit down Chinese restaurant closer to Brier Creek CC than Morrisville's Szechuan Garden. But at least SG is very good, and has the added benefit of being a pretty place, very nice staff and good prices. (And thank you, Zitsky, for the recommendation!)

You're welcome. I'm glad you like it. It's time for me to go back there. Haven't been for a while.

I sincerely hope that the purple mural on the outside of the building is replaced/ painted over. It looks pretty awful. Reminds me of bad graffiti using only one color.

Anyone have an update on MM's opening day? I'm on their Facebook page but can't find the new opening date. Was supposed to be end of March.
