I'm looking for a reputable company to replace/install electric hot water heater. I'm in the north Raleigh/Wake Co area. Mitchell Mill area.

Thanks in advance.

I didn't like Schwartz, but no positive recommendation to share.

We had a very positive experience with SPG Plumbing who replaced our gas water heater.

Are you certain it needs to be replaced? Electric water heaters are relatively simple devices and unless the tank is leaking can usually be repaired.

A couple years ago, I had a water heater die on a Saturday morning (leaking). I went to HD and one of their contract installation companies put it in the same day. They even took care of adding the expansion tank that Cary now requires. They did a good job and did not charge a weekend/after-hours fee for installation.

I realize this is an older thread, but I am now in the same situation needed a new water heater. Just curious what the going rate is now. I can't do the install myself so will have to pay for installation, drip pan, new regulator, etc.

Do you remember what you paid? Does anyone have any recent purchases of water heaters they could share the price? Just don't want to get jacked.

Thanks for any insight.

With a licensed plumber doing a legit job, you are looking at $1500 bare minimum, and as much as $2200.
If you need it done right away, some are upcharging for moving you up in the queue, too.
