Looking for part help for my kids (Durham, Apex: day care, home)

My 4 year old just got accepted into a title 1 program in Fuquay we live in the apex which is 6 miles form the school. School starts at 9:15 and end at 3:450pm . All the after schools don’t pick up kid under 5 years old . I need help decide what to do, I work at downtown Durham and can’t. Stay home as I am a single mother and I have to work to provide for my kids. I have to be at work at 9:30-5:00. I need someone for pick up to school and afterschool and babysit before I get home . This is so difficult and don’t know what to do. Please help.

Can you ask for babysitter/day care suggestions on Nextdoor? It will be easier to find someone in your area if you ask in your area.

Please check with your local school district. In most states, if a child is enrolled in public school, with special needs (title one may or may not count), the school district must provide free transportation to and from school.

Contact the school district and ask for help.

As someone suggested look on your next door site for a sitter. Honestly it's not going to be a long babysitting stint, by the time the bus gets from Fuquay to Apex it's probably going to be close to 5:00. Schools that end at 3:45 are the 3rd tier of busing and the buses are usually late....pickup probably won't be till at least 4:00 and expect minimum 30 minutes and most likely way longer to get to Apex.
