It's just a crying shame that our justice system lets loopholes free sick cold blooded killers like Peterson out.
There was a lot of banging going on in the stairwell all right...between a skull and a fire poker. Wasn't it odd the investigators never saw a poker in the basement, but the defense shows up with one at the end of the trial...less the solid metal tip

My recollection was positing the theory that she was attacked outside, and came stumbling inside. But I don't recall blood being on the patio/by the pool.

the rusty dusty blowpoke was found in the ivy outside months into the trial.

Owls do fly almost silent due to their unique wing design. That being said a 2' tall owl with a 5' wingspan is not going to sneak up on anyone inside a house. Have you ever seen the mess a small bird can make if accidentally trapped in a house. I would say the 'butler' was a more likely suspect and they didn't even have one.

I think that was going to be the plan...it happened at the pool as she was coming to the house.

I had a large owl swoop over me one night. I just heard a faint whoosh of air. I turned and looked around, and saw an owl sitting about 5ft over me on a tree limb. All I heard was a "whoosh". Ninja like. Silent assassins.

But I'm willing to bet if he went ballistic on my skull, if have more than one microscopic feather particle in my hair. And I have short hair!

This, plus the fact that if it had happened like that, I'd be screaming my head off like a banshee, louder than that stupid fountain in the pool could camouflage.

I remember watching the 20/20 or Dateline on this case. What struck me was that the defense said that Peterson and his wife lounged on the deck/porch late in the evening, then she went in by herself. He went in much later to find her at the foot of the stairs.

I know that NC can be warm in the winter sometimes, but I googled the temp for that date, and it said a high of 57 and a low of 42. Hmm. That doesn't sound like weather for "lounging" outside comfortably for any period of time, especially later in the evening when it would be the coolest.
