I think the Embassy Suites in Cary has one of the nicer indoor pools (out of regular hotels) that I've seen. It's pretty big. If it's nice out they will open the doors to the outside patio which is nice. Plenty of seating around it too so you can bring in your drink from the free happy hour.

Umstead. I do agree Embassy Suites has a nice one if you're looking for something that's more budget-friendly, though.

Unscripted Hotel in Durham has a (small) pool and bar, where lots of people go for its club-like atmosphere.
