Talk to the museum-y people, maybe some of the smaller museums or maybe even a library. They may not have it, but they may be able to point you in the right direction. Usually the museum and library people know the other resources in an area.
Newspapers often achieve incident photos or news story photos in their files. Maybe there's something related to you street. It wouldn't hurt to check. There's a lot of aerial photos on file online. That might be interesting if you could find one that includes your street from the right time frame.
You guys are great! Thanks Poggy. I have someone checking the community papers from the area. It is not a particularly interesting part of NYC (northeast Bronx borough) so its not like searching for A Manhattan street.
