Could you please tell me which area is more desirable: Carpenter or Leesville area? Could you please give me pros and cons for each area?
What is important for me?
- Low crime
- good schools
- family friendly
- walkable
- good investment and good future resale
- less commute to RTP, shopping, parks
Either would work well for what you are looking for. Low crime, good schools, and family friendly describes most of the Triangle area. Both offer a short commute to the Triangle (10-15 minutes, maybe less depending on the destination). I don't have a crystal ball, but I know the Leesville area is desirable and has been for quite a while. Walkable is always tough, as I find most of the Triangle lends itself to cars for transportation.

Thanks a lot!
It’s not particularly walkable in most parts of West Cary.
The rest is all there.

Agree, unless you live in/near Cary Park, and can walk to the shopping center there....or near Stone Creek or the Bradford ... if walking to those types of establishments qualifies as walkable for you.
Not that familiar with Leesville, and I have to say you are overthinking all this just a bit. Unless you choose to live in Knightdale and commute to RTP and expect future buyers to do the same and pay top dollar, pick a place you like and stop worrying about it.

Thats the problem, I like both the same And cant decide which one would be a better choise If I was local or maybe if I have lived here at least few years, I would have known....
HEY! I refute the idea that Carpenter is West Cary. It's east of 55, which, according to most of the moms in the "West Cary Moms" Facebook group is "way over there" and "not in this area." It's like there's an invisible barrier preventing them from crossing 55. I'm starting to think we should install a rest stop on Carpenter-Firestation so they can stop on their road trips.
