Stopped by TJ in Cary earlier today and saw that they already had their Christmas stuff display up. No panettone yet but they had candy cane Joe-Joes and stollen.

Last year some jerk bought all the advent calendars in the area (apparently for resale). They had those in stock too, 4 big boxes, different designs. Hurry up and get it if you need one.

Yes, Halloween stuff comes out before the kids are back in school and Christmas stuff starts to come out in the warehouse stores about 4 weeks later. By Halloween, it is everywhere.

Yes, but many of the TJ products have cult followings and run out VERY quickly. So some of us appreciate the heads up when we can get these products with very limited availability.

OP, did you happen to see the Brandy Beans?

Did not see Brandy Beans. They had mostly cookies and only a few [less popular?] chocolate items like “passport” chocolate bar collection that was on the shelves forever last year. Looks like it’s just the first shipment.

Haha. Yes, it might seem silly but mostly I wanted to alert those who might have been left without an advent calendar last year. It’s become our family tradition to get a TJ calendar each year, so we’d get one as soon as they came out. But last year even though we went to a store early we were told one person bought out all the calendars in the area. Not the end of the world, of course, but it was rather disappointing.

Hope this post helps someone and easy to skip for those who don’t care.
