Does anyone know of a good place to buy ring bologna in the Triangle area? Harris Teeter's website says it carries Boar's Head ring bologna, but the nearest store that it is available is in High Point. My guess is that some local butcher may have it, or some other market or specialty store, but the two supermarkets I am familiar with (Harris Teeter, Food Lion) don't carry it. Note that while I'm certainly willing to go to a higher end butcher or specialty market if that's what it takes, I actually don't need "good" ring bologna. I'm planning on making PA Dutch hot bologna so it will be pickled and spiced beyond recognition:

Just go to any Harris Teeter, they usually have a Boar's Head section in the refrigerated case (I've typically seen them in the cheese section). I'm pretty sure I've seen ring bologna in there.

Oh wow - OK, thanks. I didn't see it at Harris Teeter and then when I looked it up on their website it showed the nearest HT that had it was in High Point. That being said, it's most likely that I just missed it at HT as I was looking in the meat section, not the cheese section. Anyway, thanks!

Good luck. I'm 99% sure I've seen it in there. I'm not sure if all HT are set up the same but the one near me has a Boar's Head (cheese & meat) section within the larger gourmet cheese section. I just remember saying to myself "who buys a bologna ring?"

Now I know!!!

Lowe's carries Boar's Head too so maybe you will have luck there. Worth at least checking out.

Wow. That must be quite the regional specialty. Guess we got liver pudding down here, but I'll say no thanks to both.
