No school in Chapel Hill on Tuesday. No surprise.

Same here in Wake, but not surprised with all the black ice and sub-freezing temps expected overnight.

I really am not a fan of snow that lasts more than a day.

LOL.

Roads still have a lot of slush and temps going down to the 20s tonight. Tomorrow morning the roads will probably be in the worst shape yet.

Me neither - it's so dreary. Reminds of when I was in college in upstate NY. Snowed like this all the time.

Reminds me of living in the Chicago suburbs. Lots of snow, stuck around for months, and got all dirty and gross. I like sunshine.

Unheard of here getting this much snow this early in the winter. I never remember anything like this around the Triangle.

Usually we don't get snow in December but it happens every 8 to 10-ish years or so. It snowed on Christmas in 2010 (and that wasn't our first snow either that year), and that was a very solid snow as well.

It was a long time ago but around 2001-ish we had a foot of snow on Dec 31st. That was just two years after the two-foot snowstorm that everyone remembers. Crazy snow years tend to come in pairs like that, every couple decades.
