I don't get the plow hate. The plowing here is 100x better than it was in NY. I'm pretty sure the guys in NY used to get drunk before they took out the plows, today is the longest I have ever waited for a plow here, I think they came around 4 p.m. and they always do an amazing job. But I know Town of Cary plans and practices for winter weather. Can't speak for other municipalities.
Hysterical and true. For me, I have accepted that they do not plow my neighborhood and I have no idea why becuase I hear that other neighborhoods close by to mine do get plowed.

Any neighborhood plowing down here is being done by an HOA.

That is not correct. The town owns our streets, they are responsible for plowing. I do not know about your neighborhood but the HOA does not own the steets in ours nor in many of the neighborhoods near where I live in Cary and the town does plow in these neighborhood.

What?? No it's not. The trucks that come through my subdivision are town of Cary. And, if you see trucks that aren't clearly marked with the town's name, they are likely contracted out by the town. That's not unusual anywhere there's snow, even up north.
I don't have an HOA and a plow came down my street today. This is quite a rare thing to happen out here in the country, I was wondering if the driver may have been lost

I know its not unusual up north. It is unusual down south.

My neighborhood's contract with the landscaper includes plowing. It's one strip down all private streets. I'm sure there are similar options for most neighborhoods but depends on your HOA's budget. I'm guessing they inadvertently took care of the public street that runs through the neighborhood.

That's not what I said, but you're the expert on the entire state here.
