Something about church, a consensual relationship, and he was sorry.

Kids were screaming so I missed most of it, but it seemed really awkward.

I was wondering too. Without having any background we can just speculate. Did he say he was clergy? Aren't Episcopalian clergy allowed to be in relationships? I am Catholic and I always thought that Episcopalian priests can be married. Did this have to do with infidelity? I was going to post something here to ask why he was off the air for so long, I must have missed the story on that. i thought maybe he had retired.

Well this is good news I suppose. At least it was a woman and over 18 I hope. Its better then hearing about these priests having relationships with young boys. Just wrong.

Yes, but he would've been better off not making a statement on the airwaves to have everyone now wonder. I was waiting for him to say why he wasn't on the air, either having gone into retirement or having been ill. Glad to see him back and hope he is okay.

News would eventually get out anyway - better to nip it in the bud. I'm sure more details will come out.

Before he left he said he was taking a sabbatical/extended vacation. His original plans were to retire at the date he left but a month or two before retirement he announced plans to stay through the 2020 election.
