Hi all -- Just moved to FV about a week ago from Florida and I'm looking for a hair salon preferrably in the Fuquay Varina area. I seen a few downtown but would like some recommendations. Looking for somewhere that specializes in color and highlights. Any suggestions (good or bad) would be wonderful! Thanks all!!
Well I never got a response but thought I'd share with you all where I went -- I decided to take a chance and try one of the salons in Fuquay Varina. I went to Salon 212 located inside the Shops on Main Street (212 S Main St, FV). I got Alison there and let me tell you, she was AWESOME! Cute haircut, really good highlights (went from a very very dark color to much lighter) and excellent service. Price for cut, full highlights and color was very reasonable as well. Needless to say, I booked another appointment and will be going back. Great to live in a town where the people are nice and I can go just down the road.
As a side note --- The Shops on Main are really cute if your looking for crafty sort of home gifts. Also, there's a girl in there that makes purses to order that are really adorable, ordered one for my mom for Mother's Day.
Try the one right by "The Farmhouse". Celeste. Its pricey but great! More of a real salon. Be careful, you might with some get "Garner hair" if you don't watch some of the salons.
Fuquay is known for miles around for having the most hair salons per square mile than any other town.
Me and about 15 of my friends go to Salon 42 in the Cleveland school district of Garner. They are awesome colorists and just really funky hair stylists. Not one single person that I have referred has been unhappy.
Their website is salon-42.com.
