I'm located in east Cary, but willing to drive a bit for a consistently good men's haircut.

Have had mixed results with The Exchange Barbershop (not going back) and A Better Man's Barbershop (currently going, but looking for something better).

I'd like to take the feeling of haircut Russian Roulette out of my barbershop visits.

Any suggestions?

I can't give a reccomendation, but since you appear to like the barbershop vibe, have you tried the one at Waverly Place?

Handsome Floyd in North Raleigh might be what you're looking for. It has the look/feel of a classic barbershop and you can generally request the same person every time you book your appointment.

Could you be more specific in what you're looking for? Russian Roulette arises when one goes to a "walk in" type of place. When you have a relationship with a good barber or stylist, the variables are generally removed.

Another vote for Chicago Style Cuts which happens to be located at east Cary also. Noureddine is the best guy there make sure you make an appointment before you go in or else you will get whoever is available. His number is 919-523-8282.

What makes a cut "Chicago style"? Does everyone leave looking like Mike Ditka?
