Headed over from CH tonight to see a concert and trying to find a fun place to eat. Any suggestions?

Sorry- the Coastal Credit Union at Walnut Creek. Best to just head downtown? I don't know much about Raleigh.

There's nothing really near there to eat. And keep an eye on their twitter feed with this weather. And get there early as it the worst entry experience I've ever had going to a concert or really any event ever. The people who handle it are mostly volunteers. You've been warned.

Good to know- as we were planning to skip the opening act as one of my kids has a birthday party here in Chapel Hill that runs almost to dinner and we wanted to eat dinner in Raleigh.

Would you not recommend trying to get in later like that?

Thanks for twitter feed idea- will check that out now. Our seats are covered but not sure that matters.

yeah, eat downtown or in Cary or something. Nothing much out by Walnut Creek.

I think later is probably actually better. Covered seats are the way to go!

Worst. Venue. Ever. I'm glad you're going to purposely miss the opener, because you'd be sittin' in traffic anyway. Grrrrrr.

Was cracking up when we went into the parking lot and it was bat **** crazy, not with cars but the people trying to direct where to go. Fortunately got in and out super easy.

Turned out to be a nice night but yes it was nice to under the covered area.

A lot of the people who work there are with local HS band booster clubs - in exchange for working events, the band gets money. Same with people working at the concessions inside.
