Looks like Delta wants me to verify my passport at a kiosk. That would be all I need to do if I only do a carry on.

I flew delta a few weeks ago with checked luggage. Give yourself two hours because the bag drop and the security lines were really long. It was a 7 am flight for what it’s worth.

Thanks for the tip. How long would you say that you waited in each line?

I've experienced a long wait time (30+ minutes) at the bag drop line - was early Thursday morning I think. When checking a bag I've started allowing a little more time. The airport overall is getting busier.

You can do it! I just spent a week in Europe, temps ranged from mid 40s to upper 70s and I had to have formal outfits for the evening. I felt very proud of myself for not checking a bag lol.

Like a PP mentioned the key is to ROLL all your clothing

Any way I pack I still seem to get wrinkles. But yea, it is nice to not check a bag.

Flew out this morning and while the terminal was empty most of the self serve kiosks that serve multiple airlines were out of commission. Delta has a ton of self serve kiosks. You stick your passport in to be verified. Didn’t notice a line at security but we have pre check and walked right up to the agent

Are the Delta machines "Delta only" or are they some of the shared ones? Thanks. I also have Pre Check (Global Entry).

I fly out of RDU with Delta all the time and my fam did this week when they visited me...it's never been horrendously long. 20 to 30 minutes tops? Usually less.
