It's not too crazy, and I'm one of those guys that stays away from gmos (even tho I did make the exception in trying out the impossible burger lol) but basically the only real difference between the beyond burger(100% non gmo) and the impossible meats burger is heme.

Quote:
What is heme in food?
The two forms of dietary iron are Heme Iron and Non-Heme Iron: Heme iron is found only in meat, poultry, seafood, and fish, so heme iron is the type of iron that comes from animal proteins in our diet. Non-heme iron, by contrast, is found in plant-based foods like grains, beans, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds.
Basically heme is what gives the burger that meaty taste and the impossible meats burger uses plant derived heme to give it the taste of a real burger.

I'm gonna give it a shot.
I just got one today based on this thread. It's almost alarming how much it smells like a beef hamburger (it's the heme). Taste is close. The impossible burgers fall apart more easily.

They're delicious, especially when you've given up beef (I'm not vegetarian anymore, but don't eat beef).

But I don't know that they're all that healthy.

Just go to Char-Grill and get a Hamburger Steak Sandwich because it’s impossible to beat. Quit looking

There are lots of people like myself who don't care for Char Grill.

So I tried an Impossible Burger at Burger 21. Man I forgot how expensive that place is. I paid $17 for a mushroom "impossible" burger huge amount of fries and soda. $3 extra to substitute the beef patty for the impossible burger. Really? Yes that's a rip off.

I wouldn't say the IB tastes exactly like meat but it's pretty close. It didn't taste like any veggie burger I've had before.

With the exception of the price it was a good experience.

If you don't care for Char-Grill, I would not think you would like an Impossible Burger, since it is trying to replicate a hamburger.

You're talking about two different things. Char Grill is not appealing. It's not good. I like eating meat when it's prepared well.

Fraken-food that's not made from corpses.

Char-Grill hasn’t been around for almost 60 years because they made sorry hamburgers. If your fancy schmancy burger is in business for that long, come back and we can talk
