Do you think these towns will become reasonable bedroom communities for the triangle? The con I see is no major road access. The pro I guess is if you take RTP is the bullseye for “triangle” I think JOCO towns are probably about as far...of course they come in on 40

The biggest con is that the schools aren't very good, and neither are the amenities (parks, greenways, shopping, restaurants, etc. ) And while the latter may not come until more upper middle class families move there, few upper middle class families will move there until the schools improve.

I’m eying siler city specifically

It’s in Chatham which I think is really flipping with Pittsboro briar chapel and the chapel hill bleed over

They just seem so far. Sanford to RTP would be around 45 minutes-ish?

There's a lot of land closer to be developed.

Not sure what that means, but neither Northwood HS or Jordan Matthews HS are anywhere near Wake county level, as far as rankings, test, scores, etc.

My point remains.

Neither provides a commute I would want to make to RTP. There are better options that are shorter commute, IMO.

for folks used to a 1 1/2 hour commute for forty miles....Sanford might be their Savior.
