Mike, there are a few of us that think that Cary is boring. I am spending more time there shopping or occasionally eating. But Durham has a completely different personality. It's all these places together that make the Triangle interesting.
"People."
Cary has "people." When you talk to people and get their stories and insights on life, you may learn to be less easily bored.
Cary's architecture is boring. Granted. Town appearance and design requirements and mass market conformity by designers and builders are pretty awful.
But, if you find "people" boring, Cary, or any town, just may not be the place for you.
Funny I was driving on Cary Parkway the other day and thinking what a nice road it is, except for the people who park themselves in the left lane and go 10 miles under the speed limit. But no one was on it the other day, so it was nice. I also wondered how long till they take out the lovely large median and make it a 6 lane road!
Cary maybe beige but at least you don't have to worry there like Durham people do about getting shot. #winning
Oh yeah, the horrible fear of getting shot in Durham. That's got to be why the population has grown over 15% between the 2010 census and estimates taken in 2016, right? #losing

Yes, but I may die from boredom. lol I can't imagine looking at all that beige every day. I'll take my risk in Durham, I've been living in Durham over 40 years and never been robbed or shot. But, I may move to Cary when I retire and just want to live my remaining years relaxing. ;-)
