I told the victim I was sorry it happened to him. I’m not blaming the victim. Keying cars is a crime, but parking an expensive car in a parking lot is risky. People do mean stuff. It happens.

Sorry, I disagree that one should even think "my car is too expensive to drive anywhere". Besides, the cheapest Tesla is $36,000 new. Thats not an expensive car. Unless you're an unemployed kid who spends all day playing video games in your mom's basement, of course!

OP - I'm assuming you were parked straight between the lines i.e. not double-parked? Not in a "reserved for mother with child" or "reserved for veterans"? Not in a handicapped spot?
