3 more years for Don Waddell:

https://www.newsobserver.com/sports/...233786077.html

“Tom and I have talked and it’s not like this has been a mystery to either one of us,” Waddell said. “My feeling was I didn’t want to leave here. I think it got blown out of proportion after the contract expired. I knew in time we’d work it out.
“I’ve been through this before, with other opportunities and so forth, but at the end of the day I’m right where I belong and right where I should be.”

Good to know Dundon won't be doing things "on his own" so to speak.

Now time to get a goalie coach, and come on Justin Williams, 1 year for $1million.

Anyone else think that maybe Don did the interview with Minnesota just to personally thank them for taking Victor Rask?

Teammates with Rod at Michigan State. Spent the last 4 seasons as their goaltending coach.

I can get on board with it. For now anyways.

He's a natural for Whalers Nights.

And, he has years of coaching experience.

Which I'm fine with. I was almost certain they were going to give Cam Ward a call for this position.

Yes, several people mentioned Cam in the FB Fan Group. Big hearts, but no coaching experience?
I'm fine with this decision in comparison.

If that is something Cam wants, let him earn a coaching spot, and you don't do that by playing, methinks.
Gotta pay the dues.
