Don't know how long it has been there but seems relatively new (probably since last year)...tried it for the first time yesterday and was impressed!
Probably the coolest out-door seating of any Triangle restaurant I've been to. That being said it feels like a maze and very easy to get lost and so it takes a WHILE to get food out to your table (it's counter-service which I generally like). It's a BEAUTIFUL garden setting with a pond, lots of little mini oasis settings for tables and just all around cool vibe. They also have a beer hall and gourmet coffee bar.
Korean BBQ Bibimbap was ON POINT and the perfect portion size. Menu wasn't huge but all looked good.
Looking for a quick bite probably not your place; looking to enjoy some authentic Korean BBQ and hang out with a beer/coffee before or after eating in a beautiful setting...I highly recommend.
Hey Nick, they opened-up about two years ago now (summer 2017). It's a combo of two food trucks --- Bulkogi Truck & Bo’s Kitchen. It had several different iterations after originally opening as Straw Valley Coffee Shop (or something along those lines) quite a few years ago now (maybe around 2012?). I agree with you about the food, and think it's the best setup that they've had there. They used to get live music outside at night though, and it would be great if that were to start happening again. An awesome local jazz saxophonist named Brian Horton used to play there all the time. Also, the place has a pretty cool history that might interest you, check it out:
Yeah, it's been there a few years. I thought maybe 3? But j-mart77 probably has the official scoop.
Nice. It is in a very obscure location where you wouldn't expect to see something like it so maybe that's just why I never noticed. I've definitely been to New Hope Commons area plenty of times in the past 3 years....just not on "that side".
