Yes, because generalizations about car drivers are usually true. I suspect many older people (who may drive slower) drive Lexus, so you might have encountered more of them.

Those things that people say on here like about Prius drivers being incompetent, are just as ridiculous as the statement.

I highly doubt this. Nationwide, more F-Series trucks alone were sold last year than all Mercedes and BMWs combined. (With room for Audi also.)

I suppose - if you bought 480 horsepower that sits right in front of you, then I guess you'll always get the itch to use them!

As I parked between a Porsche and a Benz today in the Firehouse Subs parking lot, this thread did spring to mind.

It wasn't meant to be taken literally, but rather emphasize how ubiquitous they seem to be.

I think most people got that.

The Triangle has always been slightly more white-collar and yuppified that other metros of similar size though so nice cars have always been noticeable somewhat.

Volvo, which my Dad has, seems to be at least in the past a quintessential Raleigh car, upscale but understated.

His company, Martin Marietta Materials which is headquartered in Raleigh, always provided company cars and the execs always were given Volvos.

My mom had a Volvo for most of my childhood. She always took it to some place in Cary but I can’t remember the name.
