right now, I'm dealing with the fact that about 1/3 of my ND feed is blank....I know there are a few trolls/folks not worth paying attention to that I blocked ... but now I can't figure out how to unblock them to see if there's anything salient in their posts.
While I know you know it, maybe not others, that whatever you search for in the same browser as you run FB (assuming desktop here), FB will 'know' if from the browsing history and cookies - why you suddenly get FB ads for travel when you are booking a trip online, for example.
Any given day I run any of 5 different browsers for different things, and only one (Chrome, as it's Google and evil already) for FB. It's no guarantee of any safety, but at least I'm not just giving it away as easily.
I still use my 4 browsers (FF, Chrome, Opera, IE/Edge, TOR) very selectively, and DDG for many searches, among other search tools like DogPile and TinyEye.

I've noticed with certain apps on my phone, if I just go into it and look around, and then close it, I will get a coupon or offer shortly after.

Hubby and I went to the Angus Barn on a Tuesday night. The plan was to eat in the Turkey Lounge. Sometimes if we aren't very hungry, we can share a huge burger and enjoy the cheese and crackers, for a small price!
There were 12 couples AHEAD of us on the Turkey Lounge list! We decided not to wait but did grab a few crackers on the way out.
