I haven't been to C&T Wok but Gourmet Kingdom in Carrboro has excellent Szechuan food. IIRC, food critic Greg Cox of the N&O lists Gourmet Kingdom as best Chinese in the Triangle.

I've eaten there and it is pretty amazing. You must order from the Chinese menu. Colleagues who visit from China say it is pretty authentic.

I didn't like Gourmet Kingdom. We tried it twice since several people said it's great, but we no one in my family cared for it either time.

Persian: Flame Kebab, Brier Creek. I feel like I could eat there every day. The family who runs it is lovely. Maybe the only Persian restaurant we have? So good I don't even want to leave one grain of rice on the plate.

Singaporean: Merlion, Chapel Hill (at Southern Village). Gets REALLY busy on a Saturday night - worth the wait.

I like Gourmet Kingdom, but I like 35 Chinese in Cary more...after that, Happy China - I completely forgot about C&T Wok.

I have to say, Cary is rich with ethnic eateries. It's not where I want to live, but I feel like it should get more buzz for its restaurants.

I hadn't been there in way too long.

OK, C&T it is, then. What happened? Why did they leave us?
