A friend of ours is looking for an apartment soon. He is coming this weekend to scope areas out and then will relocate here in the next few months. We don't know anything about apartments here. He is about 42 yrs old, divorced and I am not concerned about the job part, I think he is going to be working remotely in his current job.

So, anyone have some thoughts on where to look? He is open to any area in the triangle. Mainly needs a 1 bedroom but a 2 bedroom would be great for if/when his teenage/adult kids visit. And what are the price ranges he should expect for an apartment?

Thanks in advance.

Linda

NCmommy2-4, do you have any further details you can give to help us narrow things down? Like what sort of environment your friend would enjoy? Surburbs, or closer to town? New complex with all the amenities, or a privately managed historic bungalow? Walking distance to restaurants and entertainment, or out in the country?

The Triangle is large and has many, many apartments that are all so different and rent ranges are drastically different depending on the area.

There are just so many options, it would really help if you could narrow it down a little.

Northridge Crossings (where I live).

One BR about $700. Two BR about $850.

Nice safe community near Triangle Town Center.

That sounds just perfect! I will be sure to share this information with him.

As for more info.. I really don't think he is too picky about the location. He would probably love to be anywhere thats got some action but thenagain.. not too much action. I do think the Cary /Raleigh area would work well for him based on what I know. He doesn't have needs to do any specific thing right now. He just wants to afford cable again LOL Lets just say life is tough for this guy right now and he is trying to make some changes for the better.

thanks again!

Linda
